CN Train 508 to Regina East
CN 4793 and 4792 were a light engine move from CN's yard in Regina to Regina East on the Glenavon Sub (site of a Louis Dreyfus grain elevator). Barry Williams had emailed me that a Regina East Turn was called for 11am. I saw the light engines moving very slowly over the Regina City Limits before 11:30. They reached the west end of the Louis Dreyfus elevator about 11:55. As of 15:05, the units were still there, and it looked like nothing had moved. At the east end, there were two cuts of grain cars (government cars & others) with Louis Dreyfus switcher 2007 on the west end of one cut.
According to the Canadian Trackside Guide 2000, LD #2007 is at another Louis Dreyfus grain elevator at Peebles SK (further east on the Glenavon Sub). LD #2007 is an SW1200RS, nee CP 8106. It appeared to be blue but location, lighting, and colour blindness make me uncertain of the colour. I may have a poor picture of 2007 whenever I finish a 35mm film & get it processed & scanned.
